Who Is Tony Sommer?
¡Hola! Yo soy Tony. He vivido en Independence hace 32 años. También tengo 32 años. Yo estudié en Truman High School y después fui a la Universidad Washington en San Luis, donde estudié física y matemáticas. Al principio quería ser científico, pero decidí ir a la UMKC y obtener un maestría en informática. Desde entonces soy ingeniero de software.
Ahora estoy en tres comisiónes de Independence; Sustainability Commission (la comision de sustentabilidad), Board of Adjustment (junta de ajustes), e Independence Youth Court (junta tribunal de menores de Independence).
Independence tiene muchos problemas, pero también tiene mucho potencial. Yo creo que Independence puede ser una de las ciudades más deseadas para vivir, trabajar y visitar en la región, el país e incluso el mundo.
No alcanzaremos nuestro potencial si solo nos quedamos con los brazos cruzados. Necesitamos un concejal innovador, audaz y que trabaje duro.
Hello! I’m Tony. I have lived in Independence for 32 years. I’m also 32 years old. I went to Truman High School, and afterwards went to Washington University in St. Louis, where I studied Physics and Math. Originally I wanted to become a scientist, but I decided to go to UMKC and get my Masters in Computer Science. I have been a software engineer ever since.
I am on three commissions in Independence; the Sustainability Commission, the Board of Adjustment, and the Independence Youth Court Board.
Independence has a lot of problems, but it also has a lot of potential. I believe Independence can be one of the most desirable cities to live, work, and visit in the region, in the country, and even in the world.
But we won’t reach our potential by doing nothing. We need a councilman that is innovative, bold, and who works hard.
